After nearly 24 hours of flying I’ve made it safely to Christchurch, New Zealand! I head to the US Antarctic Program office tomorrow to pick up my extreme cold weather clothing and then back to my room at the bed and breakfast for final packing. Then it’s just one more sleepless-due-to-extreme-excitement night and I will get to fly to McMurdo Station, Antarcticaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa; not quite the south pole but gettin there.
